Meetings.
The next two meetings will be in August at the RCC as follows;
- 9th August – Open Session – This will be an open session to give all members an opportunity to discuss or ask questions on any photographic topic. It will also be an opportunity to display all submitted photos in the Themes and submitted sections on the website. If you have some work you want to put online, do it before then and we can view it on the night.
- 30th August – An introduction to Adobe Lightroom by John Soffe. John is a member of our club and as a photographer has worked with the Earagail Arts Festival, the Regional Cultural Centre (Letterkenny) and the Donegal VEC Music Education Partnership. You can view John’s work here
Due to the limitation of not having a full training suite, this will take the form of a presentation. If you wish to bring along your own laptop, please do.
Adobe Lightroom is designed for your digital photography workflow. Lightroom helps you organize, manage, process, print, and show digital photographs and can create web sites using your selected images. Lightroom keeps track of your photographs through the creating of Catalogs which are controlled in the Lightroom Library. These catalogs keep track of files, image data, metadata, image ratings and other such information.
Themes.
I have added a Gallery of photos taken during the Earagail Arts Festival 2010, if you have some photos taken at any event during the fortnight email them and I will post them online. If you have created your own gallery in Picasa Web album or in Flickr, send me a link and I will add that also.
Can I remind you all that if you have photos you wish to submit to the Summer or Seaside Themes, do it as soon as you can.
See you all on the 9th . Happy shooting 🙂
